MBTA Cabot Bus Facility
The MBTA Cabot Bus Facility is one of the major hosts for Storage, Fueling, Maintenance and Cleaning of Boston’s Busing Operations. This 24-7 Operating Facility buzzes with activity around the clock and W.T. Rich was mandated to not impede the daily operations of the facility while completing a major renovation. The project consisted of adding a new maintenance and lubrication system for the staff and mechanics while also introducing an advanced gas detection systems for the new CNG (compressed natural gas) buses. The work also entailed the installation of a sophisticated half-million dollar overhead door system. The project was successfully completed on time and to the full satisfaction of the MBTA.
