MCI Concord Prison Expansion
This project consisted of two distinct sub-projects conducted in parallel. First, W.T. Rich was responsible for the construction of a new detention building. This two-story, 34-cell detention building was constructed using pre-fabricated, modular construction for the above ground building superstructure. Work also included detention doors, hardware and other related equipment. Second, W.T. Rich performed extensive renovation of existing detention facilities including refurbished toilet and shower areas. The work of both projects occurred in highly sensitive, secure areas within the prison and thus required detailed logistical coordination and planning throughout. The project was completed on-time, within budget and to the full satisfaction of the owner, designer and end user agency.
