New Hamilton Public Safety Complex
The project consisted of the new construction of a 25,000 square foot public safety complex to house the town’s police department, fire department and emergency dispatch center. The main building structure was a two-story, wood framed building with a combination of brick veneer and vinyl siding exterior façade. The apparatus building was a 6,500 square foot pre-engineered metal building with an attached, two-story masonry hose and training tower. Site work included all new site utilities, new storm water detention system, and new septic system. The work was conducted in three phases: During the first phase the new building was completed and the owner assumed occupancy. During the second and third phases, the old public safety building was demolished and final site finishes were installed. All three phases were completed in 13 months, one month ahead of schedule.
