East Gloucester Veterans Elementary School

OVERVIEW

The East Gloucester Veterans Memorial (EGVM) Elementary School project consisted of the rebuilding of East Gloucester and Veterans Memorial Schools into a modern, state-of-the-art facility that houses the students and staff of each elementary school on one campus on the current Veterans site at 11 Webster Street and a portion of neighboring Mattos Field. Following the completion of the consolidated school, the East Gloucester School was demolished, and its campus became open space. 

The new EGVM Elementary School is separated into A-Building and B-Building, accommodating approximately 450 students. It includes classrooms, administrative offices, a gymnasium, two playgrounds and common areas available for public use. The project achieved LEED Gold certification.
